The learning spaces at St John's are designed to enhance the learning opportunities of our students.
From the latest technology to flexible seating options and adaptable class sizes, students will learn how to work both independently and as part of a small or large group depending on the task at hand.

Learning spaces
We believe teaching is not confined to four walls, which is why we use a range of different spaces to engage students in their learning. Our students benefit from modern classroom facilities that are equipped with the latest technology.





Kindergarten space
Our youngest students are welcomed with bright, visually stimulating areas equipped with the technology and other resources they need for engaging, hands-on learning.
Year 1 and 2 space
In our colourful classroom spaces, students develop the foundations of lifelong enquiry and love of learning. The covered outdoor area gives children another space to grow and learn together.
Year 3 and 4 space
This bright, airy room is designed to support our contemporary approach to learning. Flexible seating and a breakout space allows for both independent and small or whole group activities.
Year 5 and 6 space
Our primary classrooms are designed to support our collaborative and interactive learning model. The spaces include a breakout areas and a range of flexible seating options for students.
Specialised Areas

School Library
Our library is a favourite for all students who use it for reading, games, craft activities. Every class visits at least weekly to borrow books and develop their love of reading.

Out of Hours Care
Ambrose School Aged Care provides before and after school care for students in Years K-6 in a well resourced space located on the school grounds.
Outdoor Areas
Students at St John's also enjoy making the most of the school's outdoor grounds. These include an abundance of green areas that provide an inviting environment to learn and play.





Basketball court
In addition to basketball, students can participate in a variety of recreational, exercise and sporting activities on the full-sized court.
Grassy oval
This expansive oval serves as a play area during break times and is also used for cross-country and outdoor learning.
Vegetable garden
Our beautifully landscaped school boasts a variety of garden areas, including vegetable gardens cared for by our students.
Handball area
The undercover handball area provides a safe all-weather play space. It is a popular spot during recess and lunch break times.
Outdoor learning areas
From kindergarten to Year 6, we take learning beyond the classroom with lessons conducted in sunny outdoor educational spaces.
Cubby house
Kindergarten students enjoy playing in our cubby house, which includes a slippery slide, firefighters’ pole and rock wall.
